This book is mande for covering everything through grades 9 to 12 in high school chemistry. And it does it in a beautiful way. This book is part of the ScienceKids curriculum, which tries to cover science using a neutral view of the world (so only scientific facts, not trying to impose religious or philosophical interpretations).   "Organic chemistry as a second language" helped me so much. Just make sure you stay ahead of the lectures by using this book to introduce you to the material. That helped me best when my first exposure to the material was from this book rather than the textbook (wade) or professor.

Dr Alagarsamy's Textbook of Medicinal Chemistry is a much-awaited masterpiece in its arena. Targeted mainly to B. Pharm. students, this book will also be useful for M. Pharm. as well as M. Sc. organic chemistry and pharmaceutical chemistry students.   Organic chemistry is regarded, as far as I know, as one of the hardest parts in pre-medical studies. For Organic Chemistry, I've found a book called "Organic Chemistry I As a Second Language: First Semester Topics" which has a 5-star rating with 33 total reviews with 32 being 5-stars and 1 being 4-star.

The chemistry of cooking course seeks to understand the science behind our most popular meals by studying the behavior of atoms and molecules present in food. This book is intended to give students a basic understanding of the chemistry involved in cooking such as caramelization, Maillard reaction, acid-base reactions, catalysis, and fermentation. Organic chemistry is going to be your field of study. A profound science branch like it is, it will take you from the subatomic level to the search for cures of fatal illnesses. A fascinating journey is ahead of you. And while on it, you’ll need best organic chemistry books you can get your hands on.

For 6 decades, Wilson and Gisvold’s Textbook of Organic Medicinal and Pharmaceutical Chemistry has been a standard in the literature of medicinal chemistry.

Generations of students and faculty have de-pended on this textbook not only for undergraduate courses in medicinal chemistry but also as a supple-ment for graduate studies. Overall, Klein Organic Chemistry is the best organic chemistry textbook for getting the foundations of organic chemistry right.

Organic Chemistry as Second Language. David R. Klein is not only author of the standalone book that we ranked as the best organic chemistry textbook, but also has published Organic Chemistry as Second Language. Free Organic Chemistry Textbooks. Organic chemistry students study the structure, composition, properties, reactions, and preparation of carbon-based compounds, hydrocarbons and their derivatives.

Originally, organic chemistry only studied organic/carbon-based compounds. The field has been expanded to include a number of man-made compounds such as plastics. Thus in modern practice the term Organic Chemistry is defined as the study of the compounds of carbon, the study of the rest of the elements and their compounds falling under the scope of Inorganic Chemistry.

However, a few common compounds of carbon like carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide-and carbonates are still classed as inorganic substances.

This note is designed to provide a unified overview of fundamental organic chemistry for science majors. Students who successfully complete the reading of this note acquire an integrated understanding of molecular architecture, molecular transformations, reaction energetics and mechanisms, synthetic strategy, and structure determination.
